Distributional note
This species was introduced into the Mediterranean (Verlaque et al. 2015: 271) via the Suez Canal, being first found in Israel in 2004 (Israel et al. 2010). It appears to be confined to Israel at present (2015). - (06 November 2015) - M.D. Guiry
