Distributional note
Introduced into the Thau Lagoon (Mediterranean France) probably in the early 1970s or 1980s (Verlaque 2001; Verlaque et al. 2015: 279). It is "well established" (2015) in the Etang de Thau (Verlaque et al. 2015: 279), and there have been no reports from other locations in the Mediterranean. - (23 February 2015) - M.D. Guiry
