Original publication and holotype designation: Bramlette, M.N. & Wilcoxon, J.A. (1967). Middle Tertiary calcareous nannoplankton of the Cipero Section, Trinidad, W.I.. Tulane Stud. Geol. 5(3): 93-132.

Fossil: This is a genus of fossil species, or a genus with a fossil type species, or a genus the type species of which was originally described as a fossil.

Description: Elongate, tri-radiate nannolith formed of a single calcite crystal with the crystallographic c-axis perpendicular to the length of the nannolith.
