Type Species
The type species (lectotype) of the genus Amphiroa is Amphiroa tribulus (J.Ellis & Solander) J.V.Lamouroux.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Arthrocardia wardii (Harvey) Areschoug.
