Type locality: "Mr. Archer drew attention to a Staurastrum form, which, though not quite peculiar to Callery Bog, seems to have its headquarters there." [Co. Dublin, Ireland?]; (Archer 1883: 145) Notes: Callery Bog is not a place name in current use.
