Taxonomic note
Cormaci, Furnari & Alongi (2014: 112) consider this a taxon inquirendum that may be conspecific with U. californica or U. parva They also consider that it does not occur in the Mediterranean: it was originally described from Morocco and reported by Ballesteros (1990) from Catalonia. Cormaci, Furnari & Alongi (2014: 112) exclude it from the Mediterranean flora. - (01 July 2015) - M.D. Guiry
