Børgesen No. 1650 iter tertium 1905-06,; C; barcode C-A-92172 (Børgesen 1907: 359) Notes: Syntype localities: Virgin Is.: St. Croix: lagoon of Krause; Limetree Bay; Green Cay estate (INA). Lectotype is shown as fig. 3 in Boisset & Ferrer-Gallego (2015). The drawing for Børgesen's Fig. 6 "from the lagoon of Krause St. Croix" is attached to the specimen sheet.
Origin of Species Name
Adjective (Latin), producing offsets, bearing progeny as offshoots (Stearn 1983).
