Holotype locality: Ringaringa, Stewart Island, New Zealand; (Norris 1986: 137) Holotype: a female plant: E. Willa; 24 January 1960; epiphytic on Cystophora in drift; CHR; 399507 (Norris 1986: 137, fig. 6) Notes: Isotypes (tetrasporangial): WELTand NU (008997). Slides of the type and isotype specimens are in NU (009000 and 008998, respectively.
