General Environment
This is a freshwater species.
Description
Cells solitary, uniflagellate, free-swimming, globose, 5.4-9.3 microns in diameter. Anterior tentacles absent. A straight stalk is present at the posterior. Body and flagellar scales absent. Three chloroplasts, with embedded pyrenoids. Iron-containing cysts are reported.
