Type Species
The type species (holotype) of the genus Himantidium is Himantidium arcus (Ehrenberg) Ehrenberg.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Eunotia pectinalis var. undulata (Ralfs) Rabenhorst.
