Holotype locality: El Médano (28º02'N, 16º32'W), south of Tenerife, Canary Islands; (Sanson et al 2006: 539) Holotype: Reyes, Sanson & Martin; 27 May 1994; Epiphytic on a leaf of Cymodocea nodosa, 5 m depth; TFC; Phyc 8900 (Sanson et al 2006: 539) Notes: Holotype: Sporophyte with plurilocular and unilocular sporangia. Isotypes: L, PC and TFC.
