Type locality: In Dalmatia legit Vidovich [Dalmatian coast, Croatia]; (Meneghini 1844: 287) Lectotype: FI; (Afonso-Carrillo et al 2006: 279, 280) Notes: There are four sheets of the Meneghini collection housed in FI and there are five specimens on sheet #1. The upper left specimen has been selected as the lectotype of C. chiajeana (Afonso-Carillo et al., 2006: fig. 1).
