Nomenclatural note
Illegitimate, later homonym of Streblonema chordariae (Farlow) De Toni, 1895, q.v. Newton (1931: 128) attributes the combination to Cotton, but in his 1912 Clare Island Survey (Cotton 1912: 120) Cotton just says there is no reason why Dichosporangium Chordariae "...should not be placed in Streblonema", but he did not used "nov. comb." as he did elsewhere. - (12 April 2011) - M.D. Guiry
