Habitat note
Widespread in warm and temperate seas. Occupying wide areas on rock flats, in the uppermost parts of the subtidal and the infralittoral fringe of the intertidal zone (Lipkin 1987). Penetrating lower midlittoral zone, exposed during low water of every spring tide; rock flat, 50-60 cm below lowest tidal level (Lipkin & Silva 2002). - (09 June 2010) - G.M. Guiry
