Nomenclatural note
Introduced in Zanardini (1843: 46) "È abbondante in Quarnero e fu raccolta anche dal Sandri nelle acque di Zara." [It is abundant in Kvarner and was also collected by Sandri in the waters of Zara.] but there is a reference to "Rhodymenia sp. nov. Mgh. l. c. p. 12." where there is a description [p. 12 is the reprint pagination; actually p. 428] - (15 November 2017) - M.D. Guiry
