This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Vexillarius acerviphora (Thomsen & Øsrgaard) Andruleit & Jordan.

Type locality: Arctic Station, Disko Bay, West Greenland; (Thomsen & Østergaard 2015: 166) Holotype: figs 37, 39: [processed 1 September 1990]; occurring in a sample from 50 metres depth (34PSU, 2°C); (Thomsen & Østergaard 2015: 166)
