The type species (lectotype) of the genus Liagora is Liagora viscida (Forsskål) C.Agardh.

Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Ganonema farinosum (J.V.Lamouroux) K.-C.Fan & Yung C.Wang.
