Taxonomic note
According to De Clerck (2003), Hörnig et al. (1992a; 56) noted that two species concepts exist for D. bartayresiana. In the (presumed) absence of the type, D. bartayresiana sensu Vickers was considered to be in agreement with the ideas of Lamouroux, while D. bartayresiana sensu Kützing was redescribed as D. neglecta. Examination of the type specimen in the Herb. Lamouroux (CN) showed that the concept of Kützing and Taylor was the original one and that D. bartayresiana sensu Vickers had to be renamed. Hence, D. neglecta becomes a synonym of D. bartayresiana Lamouroux (De Clerck & Coppejans, 1997b: 414-415). - (11 May 2006) - G.M. Guiry
