Type locality: Capri Island (Gulf of Naples, Tyrrhenian Sea, western Mediterranean); (Caragnano et al. 2020: 586) Neotype: MPUM; 7507 (Basso, Fravega & Vanucci 1996: 278) Notes: Currently dposited in the Herbarium Universitatis Florentinae, Natural History Museum (Florence, Italy, FI: neotype FI 058887, isoneotype FI055888 (Caragnano et al., 2020: 586). Type locality: "les mers de la Guiane?"; Collector: Turgot (INA).
