Type locality: Rade de Brest, Finistère, France; (Chamberlain 1991: 50) Lectotype: Crouan frat.; date not indicated; CO; (Chamberlain 1991: 50) Notes: Material in PC marked marked "ex herb. Crouan" unnumbered, General Herbarium (non-fossil; filed in non-geniculate coralline type collections cabinet affixed to a herbarium sheet), may be a fragment of the lectotype in CO.
