Nomenclatural note
Invalid: Silva et al. (1996: 277) note that Heydrich (1897a: 67) described S. ptychoides forma durum ('dura') and forma molle ('mollis') but later (1897: 416) he elevated forma molle to specific rank, thus effectively lectotypifyng S. ptychoides with forma durum. That part of the species which includes the type must be given the autonym S. ptychoides forma ptychoides. - (05 April 2017) - M.D. Guiry
