This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Lithophyllum pustulatum (J.V.Lamouroux) Foslie.

Taxonomic note
Wilks & Woelkerling (1991: 528) consider this to be a heterotypic synonym of Lithphyllum pustulatum (Lamouroux) Foslie (subf. Lithophylloideae). Silva et al. (1996: 274) cite it as a synonym of Titanoderma pustulatum var. canellatum (Kützing) Chamberlain. - (16 March 2009) - G.M. Guiry
