Type locality: Western Australia; (Silva & al. 1996: 592) Holotype: MEL; 17111 (De Clerck 2003: 170) Notes: Womersley (1987: 206) notes that the type was collected by Preiss.
Origin of Species Name
Adjective (Latin), fastigiate, with branches clustered, parallel and erect, giving a narrow elongated habit (occasionally meaning branched reaching to the same height) (Stearn 1983).
