Syntype localities: Rock pools of Hólmanäset and on balanoids deeper in Skagafjördur, Iceland.; (Adey & al. 2015: 195) "Holotype": S; (Athanasiadis & Ballantine 2024: 27) Notes: "Epitype locality": Holmonas, Reydharfjord, Iceland (Adey & al. 2015: 195). "Epitype": W.H. Adey; 29.vii.1966; US 170939 (66-24-1A W.H. Adey collection no.) (Adey & al. 2015: 195). According to Peña et al. (2021: 6), the seven microscope slides from the original specimen in S are better called a lectotype.
