The type species (holotype) of the genus Rhodophyllis is Rhodophyllis bifida (J.V.Lamouroux) Kützing.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Fimbrifolium dichotomum (Lepechin) G.I.Hansen.
