Nomenclatural note
Silva & al. (1996:407), proposed that the epithet "francisci" be changed to "francescoi" with the following justification: "The epithet commemorates Francesco Furnari and hence should be spelled francescoi in accordance with Rec. 60C1(a), enforced by Art. 60.11" (see Tokyo Code, Greuter & al., 1994)." But, because their change involved more than the termination (see Art. 60.9 (a)), and taking into account that the Italian personal name Francesco possesses a well-established Latinised form "Franciscus, -i" (see Stearn, 1988 Botanical Latin, p. 288), according to Art. 60.1 and Rec. 60C.1, the specific epithet of Crouania francisci should not be changed to francescoi (G.
