Type locality: 20-30 miles from Yorkshire coast, a little to the north of th Humber; (Index Nominum Algarum) Type: Mr. Norman; Col. Baddeley; Dr. Wallock; in Ascidiae from oyster shells (dredged); in Noctilucae; in Salpae; (Index Nominum Algarum)

Adjective (Latin), bearing bristles.
