Distributional note
This species has been introduced into the Mediterranean (Verlaque et al. 2015: 157), probably by shipping, being first found at the Tuscan archipelago, Italy in 1992. - (05 November 2015) - M.D. Guiry

Habitat note
Tsiamis & Bellou (2010) note that this is a deep-water species and the Greek collection is from 50 m depth, on a bryozoan attached to artificial substratum, in very clear water. They cite other records where the species was epiphytic or epizoic. - (29 April 2011) - G.M. Guiry
