Type locality: Hong Kong; (INA 1996) Lectotype: original illustration by Lauder (1864, pl. VIII, fig. 6): fixed sample of strain No. 127 from Loan Island, Andaman Sea, Thailand, deposited at C (C-A-920570 (epitype) (Chamnansinp et al. 2015: 166) Notes: According to Chamnansinp et al. (2015: 166), holotype material does not exist (see Rines 1999).
