Type Information
Holotype locality: Fahy Bay, Ballynakill Harbour, Co. Galway, Ireland; (Chamberlain & Irvine 1994: 74) Lectotype: TRH; A23-1399 (Hernandez-Kantun et al. 2015: 797, 799, fig 6A) Notes: Holotype: TRH: A23-1399; collected by H. Hanna (viii.1899); 1-1,5 fathoms, according to Chamberlain and Irvine (1994). They recommend consulting Printz, 1929, pl. 63: figs 11-13, and Adey & Lebednik, 1967, p. 44, for more information on the holotype of this species. Hernandez-Kantun et al. (2015: 799) note that three specimens illustrated by Printz (1929: pl. LXIII, figs 11-13) have been considered to constitute the holotype. They designate the top left specimen (sequenced) in fig. 6 as the lectotype.
