type locality: Tassha, Sado Island, Japan; (De Clerck 2003: 161) ?: (De Clerck 2003: 161) Notes: According to Yoshida (1938:211), D. adhaerens is not validly published since Noda did not indicate a type specimen. However, Noda cited "M. Noda, 20.xi.1955" which could be interpreted as a valid citation of a type specimen, rendering the name validly published. (De Clerck (2003)).
Origin of Species Name
Participle B (Latin), adhering (Stearn 1983).
