Adjective (Latin), literally, grape-like fruit (Stearn 1983).
General Environment
This is a marine species.
Habitat
Epiphytic on perennial algae, such as Cladostephus verticillatus and Laurencia pinnatifida, also growing on silty rock, in upper-shore pools and on open rock around the level of low water of neap tides, in habitats where large brown algae are absent, at moderately sheltered sites (Maggs & Hommersand 1993: 47).
