Crossland; date not indicated but material forms part of the St George Expedition of 1923-1924; PC; unnumbered, General Herbarium Box collection (non-fossil; filed in non-geniculate coralline type collections cabinet under basionym) (Woelkerling 1998: 285) Notes: PC 0731949; attached to substratum, dredged at 9 m depth (Gabrielson et al., 2023: [6]).
Eponomy
Named for Marshall Avery Howe (1867-1936), American botanist and phycologist.
