Type Species
The type species (holotype) of the genus Katodinium is Katodinium nieuportense (Conrad) Fott.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Lebouridinium glaucum (Lebour) F.Gómez, H.Takayam, D.Moreira & P.López-García.
