The type species (holotype) of the genus Adenoides is Adenoides eludens (Herdman) Balech.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Pseudadenoides kofoidii (Herdman) F.Gómez, R. Onuma, Artigas & Horiguchi.
