The type species (lectotype) of the genus Acrochaetium is Acrochaetium secundatum (Lyngbye) Nägeli.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Colaconema hallandicum (Kylin) Afonso-Carrillo, Sanson, Sangil & Diaz-Villa.
