The type species (holotype) of the genus Titanoderma is Titanoderma pustulatum (J.V.Lamouroux) Nägeli.

Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Lithophyllum woelkerlingii Alongi, Cormaci & G.Furnari.
