Type Information
Type locality: Lake Namakoike, Koshiki Island, southwestern Japan (31º52'27"N, 129º51'51"E); (Sawai et al 2005: 520) Holotype: BM; slideBM 101039 (Sawai et al 2005: 520) Notes: Habitat: Common along the coast of Kyushu, southwestern Japan. This species is probably benthic because no chains have been observed in water samples from the closed lagoon. Accompanied species: Biddulphia sp., Grammatophora marina, G. oceanica, Odontella aurita, Tryblionella debris, T. granulata.
