Neotype locality: Kepulauan Kai, Indonesia; (De Clerck 2003: 161) Neotype: L; microslide No. 835 (De Clerck 2003: 161) Notes: As the original type material from Pulau Faur (Bomberai Peninsula, Irian Jaya, Indonesia) collected by Beccari seems to be lost, De Clerck & Coppejans (1997a: 33) designated a neotype, a microslide bearing marginal sori of spores from the Herb. Weber-van Bosse.
