Gabrielson; 5 December 1980; at 13 m depth, anchored to a limestone platform overlain by a shallow layer of coarse shell debris and sand; MELU; A35160 ( = K7228) (Kraft 1988: 132, figs 1, 2) Notes: Isotype: MELU A35159.

Eponomy
Named for Isabella Aiona Abbott, Hawaiian phycologist.
