Type locality: San Agustín [Pacific Mexico]; (Silva & al. 1996: 588) Lectotype: LD; 49049a (De Clerck 2003: 166) Notes: De Clerck (2003) notes that lectotypification was established by Nizamuddin & Gerloff (1979:867) who erroneously cited the specimen as LD 49042a. The specimen bears the number LD 49049a.
Origin of Species Name
Adjective (Latin), crenulate, having small rounded teeth (Stearn 1983).
