Maire; 26 July 1975; lake benthos; BR; BR-4543 (Van de Vijver & Le Cohu 2019: 1) Notes: Paratype: Port Raymond, îles Kerguelen, sample BM385, leg. B. Van de Vijver, coll. date 06/02/1998, collected from submerged mosses in a small river, BR-4544 (Meise Botanic Garden, Belgium).

Eponomy
Named in honour of the French phycologist Yves Thérézien (Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle de Paris).
