Type locality: Elliston Bay, South Australia; (Silva & al. 1996: 430) Holotype: Shepherd; 21 October 1970; on Kallymenia cribrosa, 7 m deep in bay; AD; A37361 (Womersley 1998: 310) Notes: Womersley (1998: 310) notes that there are also isotypes distributed in “Marine Algae of southern Australia” No. 397.
