Description
Thallus saxatiles cartilagineis purpureo-rubris erectae
0.5-3.0 cm ramus plurimus et cum disco confluento,
basis affixo per rhizoideis; axes teretes a subterete
ramosi dichotomuse, apicibus deminutis rectus, de. 2-3
cellulae axiales medulla et filamentis rhizoideis corticalis
series anticlinais in partibus senioribus cellularum
de 2-4. Cistocarpia et tetrasporangia in unilateralis
nemathecia. Cystocarpium elevates en nemathecia. Tetrasporangia
zonatus en nemathecia et divisus oblique,
spermatangias formatus en nemathecia.
Habitat
Intertidal rocks.
