Type locality: Shark Bay, Western Australia; (Silva & al. 1996: 593) Holotype: LD; 49414 (De Clerck 2003: 183) Notes: Womersley (1987: 196) gives the following data: Type from Shark Bay, W. Aust. (Gaudichaud); in Herb. Agardh, LD, 49414 (the type sheet is without a locality but is the only C. Agardh specimen in LD).
Origin of Species Name
Adjective A (Latin), forked; having a small notch at apex (Stearn 1983).
