Type locality: Bolinas Bay, California, USA; (Lynch, Sheath & Muller 2008: 600) Type: Gardner 4581; Growing on boulders in the middle littoral belt at mouth of bay; UC; 284050 [also jar. 369, vial 8] (INA 1996) Notes: Only known from littoral boulders in Bolinas Bay (Lynch et al. 2008: 600).
