The type species (holotype) of the genus Feldmannia is Feldmannia lebelii (J.E.Areschoug ex P.Crouan & H.Crouan) Hamel.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Kuetzingiella battersii (Bornet ex Sauvageau) Kornmann.
