Syntype localities: St. Jan [St. John] and St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; (Silva & al. 1996: 817) Notes: No specific specimen mentioned as type. A specimen "In deep water (about 20 m.) off Christiansfort (St. Jan)." is illustrated ad fig. 18 and "In deep water (about 25 m.) off America Hill (St Jan)." as fig. 19.
