Ad litus maris Norvegici detexit Dr. Schübeler ... prope Lillesand [Norway].; (Jessen 1848: 16) Lectotype: original illustration (Jessen 1848, pl. II, fig. 11; "frondes Slesvicenses"): (Burrows 1991: 24) Notes: According to Womersley (1984: 164) the type locality is “Hibernia (Ireland).” INA: Baltic, near Sandwieck, Slesvig, leg. Hansen; also Ireland, coll. Binder; Norway, leg. Schübeler.
