Lectotype locality: Montagne de Veyrier (late Eocene); (Aguirre & al. 2012: 317) Lectotype: PC; one rock sample and one thin section in box 48-1/116 (Aguirre & al. 2012: 317, figs 31, 35-37) Notes: Lemoine (1928a) based L. simplex on late Eocene material from Montagne de Veyrier and from Priabonian of Calvaire de Thones but did not designate a holotype. [Nummulitique de Catalogne (Spain); San Genesio, Italy (INA)].
